athletes foot

Is it possible to have SEVERE athletes foot on only one foot & it to never spread to the other foot or anywhere for that matter? When I say severe I mean cracking sides, heels & arches. The skin between the toes is either completely white with moisture or raw & bleeding. There are times that my toes are so raw & sore I cannot even move them. The itch is unbearable & sometimes there are little papules that when they pop a clear liquid comes out, kind of like blisters. This has been like this for some time on my left foot & my left foot only. I know I should go to the DR & get it checked, which eventually I will, but I am just curious since athletes foot is supposed to be SO contagious, or transmittable, why hasn’t it spread anywhere? I am just extremely lucky? If so then I will shut up & quit questioning it, but I am wondering if it could be something else wrong with my left foot… sometimes I just want to shoot the damn thing off!!!
That is the whole point of my question… the 1st thing people says is “mind you it can transmit to the other, by contact. So, don’t swap shoes / socks from one side to the other, and be careful where you walk barefoot.”… my LEFT foot has been this way for about 2 years & it has not spread… does this mean it is not athletes foot since atletes foot is supposed to be so transmittable?????

I’ve tried lots of stuff and have had it for a very long time. I get blisters on my feet and between my toes.
